Wattbike, makers of the world’s most advanced indoor bike, announced today that it has appointed Johnson Health Tech Australia (JHTA) as its distributor throughout Australia. JHTA will sell and service Wattbike’s Pro and Trainer models across all regions of the country.
Since launching its first product in 2008, UK based Wattbike has placed its Pro and Trainer models in a comprehensive spectrum of facilities in search of the most advanced workout experience complete with the most accurate, progressive and informative feedback. Wattbike customers range from professional teams and pro athletes to the military to high performance training centres to health clubs of all shapes and sizes. The Wattbike models offer sports scientists a uniquely reliable and precisely accurate training tool to optimize the performance of pro and amateur athletes alike.
In Australia, Wattbike has played an integral part in training many of the best athletes in the country through such organizations at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), and is deeply embedded in the programs of teams across both rugby codes and the AFL. In taking on distribution, JHTA will aim to broaden Wattbike’s presence across all segments of the Australian training and fitness markets.
JHTA, in incorporating Wattbike into its portfolio of brands, adds an outstanding complement to its already powerful arsenal of Matrix Fitness, Vision Fitness, Horizon Fitness, Tempo and Treo.
“Wattbike boasts a long and proud history both here in Australia and around the world, and we’re thrilled to receive the opportunity to support their growth in Australia,” said JHTA Managing Director Gary Peak. “We’re delighted to be able to offer our customers and prospects a product that has become the training tool of choice for cycling champions and professional athletes around the world. As the world’s most highly engineered training bike, one that offers an open digital platform (users can access workouts from anywhere), the Wattbike Pro and Trainer will facilitate our quest to deliver an ever improving and always market leading customer experience.”
“Choosing a distributor in a country that has reputation for health and fitness was an important decision for Wattbike,” said John Wilson, Wattbike’s Commercial Managing Director. “Johnson Health Tech showed that they hold the same core values of quality and service as us, and we are pleased that they have added the Wattbike brand to their portfolio of products. I’m excited to see Wattbikes in gyms and sports clubs across Australia.”
