Industry Representation

ALFA is committed to developing a strong network of partners in the areas of facility management, leisure, aquatics, health, eduction, crime and community development. The ALFA Alliance works in partnership with key identified peak bodies to achieve its vision.

The ALFA Alliance has representatives serving on and partnerships with the following committees/organisations:

GSPONational Aquatic Industry Safety Committee (NAISC) of RLSSA
(Committee overseeing the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations – GSPO)

The Royal Life Saving Society Australia provides management standards and practices for the operation of public aquatic facilities. Information about minimum requirements and best practice will assist an operator in satisfying their legislative obligations and provide a high standard of care to swimming pool patrons.

The Guidelines for Safe Pool Operation are a must for managers of aquatic facilities. The GSPO also contains invaluable information for local government, facility owners, architects, engineers, duty managers and pool lifeguards.

The Guidelines for Safe Pool Operation are a Subscription based service provided by RLSSA.

SSA are a not-for-profit, independent organisation, which supports skills and workforce development in the service industries.

Standards Australia is the nation’s peak non-government standards organisation. It is charged by the Commonwealth Government to meet Australia’s need for contemporary, internationally aligned standards and related services.
