Over 300 people were in attendance at ARV’s Water Safety Fun Day on a spectacularly sunny day at Federation Square, Melbourne on Friday 6 December, celebrating Water Safety Week 2013.
Well supported by key aquatic agencies, government and media, including Kidsafe, Life Saving Victoria, Surfing Victoria, the State Emergency Service, the Department of Health and Channel 9, the Water Safety Fun Day, and Water Safety Week in turn contributes to the effective promotion of the water safety messages and engagement of a broad cross section of the community across Melbourne and throughout regional Victoria. STREAM’13 Regional – the third country edition of the Victorian AUSTSWIM Teacher Professional Development Day – was an unqualified success, attracting 119 delegates to Peter Krenz Leisure Centre, Bendigo on Sunday 20 October.
Delegates arrived from all corners of Victoria including Mornington, Bright, Lorne and Nhill, and from over the NSW border from Moama and Corowa. About one third made the trip up from metropolitan Melbourne to be part of the bi-annual event. [Read more...]

Aquazone, a council facility, uses The Rentention People’s (TRP) Interact software to identify members ‘at risk of leaving’ that has resulted in doubling their retention rates and gaining significantly more members!
Ray Smith, Service Manager explains “TRP have helped transform the entire culture within the club. Our retention rates have significantly increased by 40% as well as our member base.
