The 53rd Aquatic & Recreation Institute (ARI) Conference was held at Cypress Lakes Resort, Hunter Valley. The ARI were delighted to welcome over 170 delegates and suppliers from all over NSW and around Australia including LIWA’s own Jeff Fondicaro and Dale Morrissey.
The conference kicked off with our Keynote Speaker Mark McCrindle. Mark, a demographer and futurist showed the data on the changing face of our population and how this will affect our facilities. A notable point highlighted, was as the population expands and housing becomes more condensed, the need to utilise recreational spaces will become more and more important.
Delegates spent the afternoon networking in the Hunter Valley, touring local vineyards or playing golf with thanks to our Gold Sponsors, Prominent Fluid Controls and Scully Outdoor Designs. Golfers had the chance to win a brand new Holden Colorado thanks to Tristan Archer @ Suttons Holden Waitara and Prominent Fluid Controls – unfortunately there no winners this year – perhaps 2018 will be the year to give a car away!
